How did you come up with the idea for your business?
I have always enjoyed a sense of creative energy and am a detail-oriented communicator. Having worked for 20 years on a commission-only basis in the areas of commercial interior landscaping and office supply sales, my focus has always been to provide the best customer service and finished product possible. When deciding to go into business for myself, I invited trusted and long-term clientele and friends to provide me with suggestions for what should be included. The much appreciated feedback pointed me to turn-key graphic design, print and signage services. With a platform based on excellence and a sincere desire to offer the best customer service and product available, I have put my best foot forward with energy and tenacity to "build it" so they'd come.
What do you like best about owning your own business?
The most enjoyable aspect of my business is the versatility of what we create. Each new job is different, and they are all fun. I enjoy meeting new people and building business relationships. The sense of pride I feel when clients are happy with my focused customer care and finished product is rewarding.
What advice would you give other women looking to start their own business?
Stick with your intuition, and maintain a tenacious focus on always trying to do better. After all - what you give is ultimately what you receive.
